With 2012 just about over, it’s about time to get ready for the brand new year of 2013! You may be planning a party with family and friends to see the new year in. Many like to toast in the new year with a drink, but many are preferring to serve drinks without alcohol. In addition, you may want to include young people at your party, so whatever drinks you choose to serve would definitely need to be alcohol-free.
Here are some special drinks to serve for toasting in the new year, or even any special occasion, when you prefer to not serve alcohol. And they’re economical and refreshing! Each of these makes one serving, but you could multiply the measurements according to the number being served, if you prefer not to make them individually. This first recipe if for “Citrus Collins”, which is the non-alcohol version of a Tom Collins. It’s a wonderfully refreshing drink, good for adults and young people alike.
The next drink is more of a savory drink called “Tomato Eye Opener”, which is made with tomato juice. This is a good drink to serve before dinner or for times when you don’t want a sweet-flavored drink. The spices in the drink give it an added bite.
Another drink, which is particularly good for children, is “Lemonade Freeze”, which is also a good drink to serve in the summer months. This is a different way to dress up a plain glass of lemonade and can almost qualify as a “dessert drink.”
