The ingredients are coming together for a potentially stormy evening across northeastern Ohio. Warm, moist air is already in place. Very strong winds aloft will spread across the area this evening, aiding in the development of severe thunderstorms and possibly tornados.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch for all of northeastern Ohio, including the Youngstown area. Strong damaging winds, hail and isolated tornados are possible across the area late this afternoon and this evening.
Please be sure to check the latest forecast on the NWS website. Also, be prepared to move indoors quickly should threatening weather approach or a warning is issued.
