New Tucson-Baltimore Flight: Southwest Airlines will begin seasonal service between Tucson International Airport (TIA) and Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, February 12, 2012. Daily flights will be available through April 9.This flight provides entry to the Washington, D.C. metro area and proximity to surrounding East Coast cities, including Long Island, N.Y., Providence R.I., and Manchester, N.H. during Tucson’s peak visitor season. Artists Den at Fox Tucson Theatre:The Southwestern Art Deco-styled Fox Tucson Theatre in downtown Tucson is a featured venue in season four of the acclaimed public television music series, “Live From the Artists Den,” scheduled to begin February 3, 2012. The “Amos Lee with special guests Calexico” episode, featuring Tucson bands Calexico and the Silver Thread Trio, was filmed at the Fox Tucson Theatre in August and is slated to air March 2. Show times can be found on public television listings. Singer Amos Lee’s fourth album Mission Bell was produced in Tucson and entered the Billboard 200 chart at number one in 2011.
