7 P.M. (CBS) 60 MINUTES Angelina Jolie talks with Bob Simon about a past so dangerous that she says she barely survived it. “I’m still a bad girl,” she tells Mr. Simon in Budapest, where she was filming “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” a dark love story she wrote and directed that is set during the Bosnian war in the early 1990s. “I still have that side of me,” she says, adding: “It’s just in its place now. It belongs to Brad, or our adventures,” referring to her relationships with Brad Pitt, her six children and her humanitarian efforts. In other segments, Scott Pelley documents homelessness in Central Florida, and Morley Safer meets some of the scientists behind the flavors, both real and artificial, that make certain foods and beverages irresistible.
8 P.M. (WNYW Fox) THE SIMPSONS After Homer hosts a promotional party for Krusty’s new liquor, Mr. Burns makes Homer an account executive and brings in an advertising professional (John Slattery, of “Mad Men”) to act as his mentor. Bart, meanwhile, starts reading the classics.
8 P.M. (Hallmark) HOLIDAY ENGAGEMENT (2011) For years Hillary Burns (Bonnie Somerville) has felt pressured by her demanding mother, Meredith (Shelley Long), to marry. And this Thanksgiving she’s bringing home her new fiancé — that is, until he suddenly breaks up with her. Now, instead of incurring her mother’s wrath, Hillary has hired an out-of-work actor (Jordan Bridges, above, with Ms. Somerville) to pose as her beau. Then her fake engagement starts to feel real.
8 P.M. (ABC Family) DESPERATELY SEEKING SANTA (2011) A mall marketing executive (Laura Vandervoort) with her eye on a promotion dreams up a plan to increase sales: a search for the hottest Santa in town, to be paraded in front of the stores. Nick Zano plays the handsome competitor who hopes to win the $10,000 prize to save his family’s restaurant, and who may prompt this career woman to question everything she thought she wanted.
8:30 P.M. NFL FOOTBALL: Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs LIVE-Dwayne Bowe and the Chiefs offense face a tough test when they host Troy Polamalu and the Steelers. From Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
9 P.M. (TNT) LEVERAGE Season 4 resumes as the team, led by Nate (Timothy Hutton), infiltrates secret societies to investigate the disappearance of homeless veterans in Boston.
9 P.M. (WABC) MITCH ALBOM’S HAVE A LITTLE FAITH (2011) Laurence Fishburne stars as the Rev. Henry Covington (who died in December at 53), a Detroit preacher who overcame a life of drugs and crime to provide food and shelter to the homeless at his I Am My Brother’s Keeper Church. Anika Noni Rose is Mr. Covington’s wife, and Bradley Whitford plays Mr. Albom (“Tuesdays With Morrie”), whose best seller inspired this production. In another story line, Mr. Albom’s life is profoundly affected when an 82-year-old New Jersey rabbi (Martin Landau) asks him to write and deliver the rabbi’s eulogy.
