Christmas is less than a month away and it is time to finish up your holiday cards. Make plans to crop now or after the holidays when you have lots of new pictures to be scrapbooked. If you are looking for a place to work on scrapbooking, cardmaking or other papercrafting projects there are a number of local events coming up:
Snippin Snaps Weekend Crops in Hillsborough
January 13-14, 2012 Crop. Schley Grange Hall. Crop from 6:00pm until 12:00 midnight on Friday. Return for a full day of cropping from 9:00am until 5:00pm on Saturday. The early bird price for the full weekend is only $20. This is a no frills crop so plan to bring your own food and drinks. There will be a selection of tools available for you to use and lots of products available for purchase at a great price. Don’t miss out on the last crop of the year!
January 14, 2012, Copics Card Class. Schley Grange Hall. This class will be held from 10:00 am-11:00 am and is open to everyone, even if you are not attending the weekend crop. I am a Certified Intermediate Copic Designer and will be teaching the class. Join me in learning how to make a beautiful card. The class is appropriate for all levels of Copic colorers. The cost of the class is $25 and includes 3 Copic Sketch markers and all the materials you will need to make the card. There will be supplies available to purchase, if you would like to make additional items on your own. You can register for the class online here.

Stamping and Scrapbooking Room in Greensboro AKA Betty’s
Friday night crops are generally held twice per month from 5:00pm to midnight. Cost is $12 and includes pizza, drinks, chocolate and snacks. Call ahead to reserve your spot.
January 21, 2012 Artsy Fartsy Bingo Crop. Crop all day from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm for $25. There will be Bingo games for prizes and a Pot Luck lunch. Dinner will be provided.
December 26-31, 2011 Free Christmas Crops. Crop all day from 10:00-6:00 for free. Avoid the madness of the after-Christmas shopping scene and work on scrapbooking your holiday photos.
Free Sunday crops every week from 11:00am to 6:00pm. This is a no frills crop, just bring your projects and crop for free in the store.
Archivers at Triangle Town Center in Raleigh
Friday and Saturday night Scrap Mania crops are held every week. Crop from 5:00pm to 11:00pm. The cost is only $5 but you will receive a $5 merchandise credit to use on the night of the crop, effectively making the crop free. This is a no frills crop and you should reserve your spot ahead of time by phone or while you are in the store.
