The Vampire Diaries aired its midseason finale on Channel 6 in Tempe last week, and fans are already being teased about what they can expect when the series returns in January. On Monday, TV Edge reported on the latest spoilers dealing with the arrival of Bonnie’s mother. TV Guide also reported the answer to a question some might be wondering about with the release of Breaking Dawn later this week. If you missed any of the previously spoilers or photos for this series, go here.
When the series returns, fans will see Bonnie’s mother return to Mystic Falls. She is someone not yet seen on the series, and fans are curious about the woman and her witchy abilities. She will appear in episode twelve of the series, and Persia White has been cast in the role. Julie Plec said the following about the character’s arrival, according to TV Edge:
“In our show, we’ve met a series of Bennett witches. Obviously it is something that seems to have been passed down from generation to generation. The lineage of these witches, with Grams and Emily Bennett, has been very important to our show, and Bonnie’s heritage has been very important to the mythology. So it’s about time that we ask ourselves who her mother is, and what her mother might be capable of as a witch or not a witch, and where the hell she is.”
As for Stefan and Elena, with a vampire baby in the cards in Breaking Dawn, some fans of this series have wondered if a vampire baby could be in the future for these two. While Paul Wesley played around with the question, Nina Dobrev said the following, according to TV Guide:
“We established that our vampires cannot procreate, so Elena would have to get pregnant by someone other than a Salvatore, and I think the only way they would write that in is if I became pregnant in real life, and the chances of that happening in the next decade are slim to none!”
Fans are waiting to see what happens next on this series. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
wishing we could just skip to January 5th already. it hasn’t even been a week, but i miss you, #VampireDiaries.
