What a church drama that is unfolding at New Destiny Christian Center.
On this video page, Dr. I.V. Hilliard speaks about dropping out of the pastor installation process — and there is a new video urging for a protest against Paula White.
The melee began with Pastor Zachery Tims’ untimely death at age 42.
More details began to emerge after that shocking death, after which it was revealed that Tims fired his ex-wife from the church “a year before she filed for divorce in November 2008,” reported the Sun Sentinel.
After his death, however, Riva Tims shared with the congregation how she was able to take a trip before the death of Pastor Tims with their children together.
After starting New Destiny in 1996 with her husband and only 4 members, Pastor Riva Tims has now turned to both Facebook and the judicial system for recompense.
A charismatic leader, Pastor Paula White has been plagued by links to Benny Hinn that are unflattering.
Recently, Riva Tims wrote on her Facebook page the following statement:
To the members of NDCC, I know there is a lot going on for you all right now. My heart aches for you and I would have loved to be a part of the healing process for you. The children and I feel the same concerns many of you have expressed to me. Please know that even though the Board including Paula White refused to meet with me as the co-founder of NDCC on behalf of my children, I have a resolve that God is ALMIGHTY and HE is the righteous judge. Continue to pray for God’s perfect will and that the Spirit of Truth will continually be manifested. I love you much.
